Le Coloriste
Current version: 1.0 · Requires: macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later · Apple silicon and Intel
Getting started
- Open Le Coloriste and click the magnifier.
- Click any pixel on your screen: the color is added to your swatches.
- Give it a name and file it in a list, category or project.
- Export your colors as JSON, Adobe (.ase), macOS (.clr), JPG or PDF.
Frequently asked questions
The magnifier doesn’t pick colors from other apps. macOS may ask for your permission before Le Coloriste can read the screen. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, find Le Coloriste in the relevant list, turn it on, then relaunch the app.
Where are my colors stored? On your Mac. If you use sync, they are also kept in your own iCloud account so they’re available on your other Macs.
How do I get my colors on another Mac? Sign in to the same iCloud account on both Macs and turn on sync. You can also export a JSON file and import it on the other Mac.
How do I install Le Coloriste on another Mac? Open the Mac App Store with the same Apple Account, click your name in the bottom-left corner, then download Le Coloriste from your purchases. No extra charge.
How do I get a refund? Purchases are made through Apple, which handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Are my colors sent to Studio Vionnik? No. Le Coloriste collects no data. See our Privacy Policy.
